Bucket list scuba dive in the Silfra Fissure thanks to ArcticAdventures! 💦 ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• Silfra is the only place in the world where you can dive between continental plates. The water is also nearly freezing (2°C – 4°C year round) 😳 as it comes from the Langjökull glacier. I have never experienced a place so pristine and untouched by humans. The photos and videos I captured are INSANE and are some of my best work. The Galápagos National Park has taken incredible measures to protect all forms of nature and, in doing so, we can interact with birds, reptiles and animals more than anywhere else I've been in the world. While exploring different islands on our ecoventura_ec cruise, we always kept our distance and never touched the animals, but they would come right up to us -- as curious and awestruck as we were to see them. My spirit animal 🙌🏻 ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• Charles Darwin was completely disgusted by the marine iguanas of the Galápagos, but I think they're awesome! Marine iguanas can only be found in the Galápagos, are gentle and eat algae (vegetarian). Maybe it's because I've always been obsessed with dinosaurs but these guys just remind me of adorable baby Godzillas. What do you think? Cute or creepy?
